1st June 2009:
The Home IT Helpdesk, the largest independent provider of remote IT support to the digital home in the UK announces the addition of Kaspersky Internet Security and TuneUp Utilities to their Compute Assured product portfolio. These two new products are designed to improve the users computing experience and safeguard the computer from unwanted attacks. Ksapersky Internet Security is now one of the leading internet security packages in the UK together and together with TuneUp Utilities and will be offered at significantly reduced costs to subscribers of The Home IT Helpdesk.
1st May 2009:
The Home IT Helpdesk, the largest independent provider of remote IT support to the digital home in the UK announced the launch of Phase 2 of its Business Model by introducing an Extended Hardware Warranty Policy and an All Risk Insurance Policy. The two new products, underwritten by Burnette and Associates Plc based in Southampton, are designed to add to the company’s Compute Assured product range, whereby the consumer now has full coverage for (1) IT Expert Help and Assistance through the companies 24/7 Home IT Service Plans; (2) Malfunctioning Hardware Parts through their Extended Hardware Warranty Plan and (3) Accidental Damage and Theft Insurance for Laptops through the All Risks Insurance policy.
 
30 April 2008:
Elonex International concludes deal to outsource worldwide technical support to The Home IT Helpdesk. All customer technical support, including software and device support is to be provided by both telephone and remote control from The Home IT helpdesk’s support centre in Cape Town. The deal, which includes support for all Elonex products including Elonex’s UMPC range is to be provided in a deal worth over £1million over 3 years.
31 December 2007:
eBuyer.com chooses The Home IT Helpdesk to provide 24/7 Home IT Service to its consumer clients. The conglomerate based in Howden, UK ships over 15,000 laptops and PC’s per month. Choosing The Home IT Helpdesk will ensure that all consumers who purchase from eBuyer will have free unlimited access to The Home IT Helpdesk for the first week of their purchase.
1 October 2007:
The Home IT Helpdesk completes the rollout of its VOIP technology software. The software provided by Telappliant Ltd in the UK is among some of the leading VOIP software on the market and will enable agents based in Cape Town to receive calls from and make calls to anywhere in the world seamlessly over the internet at a fraction of a traditional phone call.
1 June 2007:
The Home IT Helpdesk partners with PC World to provide Remote Wireless Network Installation services for the Tech Guys.
23 rd May 2007:
The Home IT Helpdesk completes move to larger premises in Cape Town, South Africa enabling the company to benefit from cheaper offshore labour costs and provide even greater value add services to its clients.
28 th Feb:
Subsequent to the successful rebranding of NTL to Virgin Media, The Home IT Helpdesk secures contract to provide customer care services for Virgin Media Shop through its outsourcing agreement with Ingram Micro.
31 st January 2007:
The Home IT Helpdesk completes purchase of Myhelpline for an undisclosed amount.
